This 2024 manual is an update of the original Stream Crossing Inspection Manual, originally produced in 2006, that was the first comprehensive treatment of inspections for the procedures in use.

Since 2006, technological advancements and learned enhancements have necessitated an updated manual. It is our hope that this manual will continue to be the first step in mitigating all stream crossings fragmenting Alberta’s fish habitat.
